ExpFC was founded in 2019 by Dr. KZ (Kanzan) Inoue with a small team of researchers, engineers, and strategists — people who had watched brilliant technologies stall for reasons that had nothing to do with the science.

Before founding ExpFC in 2019, KZ Inoue was a board member of Lintec of America and managing director of its Nano-Science & Technology Center, leading a 40-person operation — and earlier introduced the world's first femto-level capacitance measurement device for semiconductor failure analysis. A physicist with 17+ years leading R&D teams and a native Japanese speaker, he built ExpFC to give deep-tech companies both the technical depth and the on-the-ground Japanese relationships that market entry actually takes.
